PostSubject: More discussion   Fri May 11, 2012 9:51 am

Hello everyone - for the last few days this forum seems to have died as far as discussions are concerned. It seems there have been quite a few new members but still nothing written worth talking about. Is no-one interested in life here or passing on information or debating a topic like residential status, need for solicitors, state of Bulgarian infrastructure, house buying problems or successes etc etc.? Maybe its been the nice weather but no-one spends all their time on one project do they??? Maybe they do, but if this forum is to be interesting there must be more to read and discuss than what is for sale.

Sorry - no idea Tonyb60. I have just noticed that viewings of 'new postings' are very low, only in double figures. The topics getting the most views are the weather and 'this is so funny..' To keep the forum growing people must interract more. Maybe we are now so safe from trolls that no-one will risk a debate! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

for me, march, april and may are the busiest months of the year. march is all paperwork and spring cleaning indoors, april i go on holiday and may is the time for maintenence outside, there is always repairs from damage of the winter, painting and varnishing. preparing the garden, planting and currently painting the whole house.
once all that is completed, my time is all mine. g s

I think you have hit the nail on the head, this is the time of the year that most of us are busy with such things as mentioned so we have little time to spend on the net well at least I do because if I've spent most of the day cleaning or sorting and planning the garden all I want to do is sit down with a nice cup of coffee and relax.

We have been busy decorating and getting our house into some sort of order. The garden is 4500 square metres and so my work is cut out until some snow appears sometime next winter and then it's time to hibernate beside the woodburner after making sure there is 15 cubic metres of the stuff cut and ready to burn after cutting and storing during the summer. I guess most people are busy doing DIY and gardening so they can reap some of the vegetables and fruit that grows so well here.

oldun, I think the hardest thing to understand is, why do so many people join a forum and then not contribute, is it just to be nosey or is it that they have nothing better to do. As usual you are a great contributer and long may it last, whatever the topic I like reading your input
One thing I might have some doubt about is your comment that we might now be safe from trolls. I wouldn't bank on it, I think there could be one or two lurking about, but as we know Admin and the Mod's keep a watchful look out

I have to say that you 'busy' people managed to see my new post on the subject so you do find a minute to log in! We do all the things you mentioned and still find some minutes left over to scroll through the forum and answer a couple. It only takes about half an hour and is nice to do when I sit with a cuppa. I also find time to enjoy a good book in the garden I have been weeding!

Sorry for not joining in discussions lately. We've been having our first go at haymaking by hand. Causing much amusement in the village by being loads slower than everyone else. We have been told several times we could just pay various tractor owners n other labourers to do it for us. But asmy husband says at some point you have to stop paying and learn to do it yourself. So if anyone has any tips on using a scythe I will gladly join the discussion. s

The Forum has been quiet this past, I have posted a few, but have been busy with DIY. Currently painting all the windows and dodging the sun from one window to another. I guess a lot of forum members are doing the same sort of thing, either working in the house or outside in the garden.
